Descendants of the Sea, Ep. 01 - Underwater Hunters

View on the Pragda STREAM site

This is the story of the spearfishermen of Caramucho Cove, who still maintain the ancestral tradition of free diving, just as the ancient Changos, Camanchangos, or Chinchorro fishermen did. Despite being almost 60 years old, they remain active, fishing not only to survive, but also as athletes who compete at a high level in spearfishing.

Series Description
A six-part documentary series that shows how the culture of the Chango people, considered extinct until a couple of years ago, is still deeply rooted among many artisanal fishermen who live in the coastal territory of northern Chile.
